Metroid Prime is a 2002 first-person shooter video game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the fifth installment in the Metroid series and the first game in the series to be rendered in 3D. The game follows bounty hunter Samus Aran as she investigates a Space Pirate distress signal on the planet Tallon IV.
Metroid Prime's gameplay is a seamless blend of exploration, action, and puzzle-solving. Players are free to explore the game's vast environments at their own pace, and they are rewarded for their curiosity with new items and abilities. The game's combat is challenging and satisfying, and the boss battles are some of the best in the genre.
